01 · The working studio
A room for versions, not perfect first attempts.
The Iumxaf studio is organised around the practical work of post-production: shared edit stations, a listening corner and a small screening wall. Learners bring current projects and leave each session with a clear task for the next pass.
What happens in the room
Three spaces, one connected workflow.
Edit benches
Work in pairs or independently while a tutor moves between projects with targeted feedback.
Listening corner
Check dialogue, room tone and transitions before a sequence reaches the screening room.
How we keep the room useful
- Label every version so another editor can understand the decision behind it.
- Bring a focused question to supervision, not only a timeline full of clips.
- Leave enough time for backups, exports and a short note to your future self.
